blinkx TV Adds Content from The Biography Channel

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 25, 2005 - continuing their recent string of partnerships with major broadcasters, blinkx, the smartest thing on your computer and on the Web, today announced a content partnership with The History Channel UK to make clips from The Biography Channel fully searchable on demand through www.blinkx.tv. Additional content from The History Channel is also expected to be available to blinkx users shortly. Adding a new cultural dimension to blinkx TV, today’s partnership extends blinkx’s existing video index, which currently comprises hundreds of hours of news, sport and entertainment content from major broadcasters such as Fox, Reuters and GMTV as well as numerous specialist channels.

blinkx TV will provide an instant link to footage featuring the most significant personalities past and present, who have made, or are making, world history. In a move that links the best of the past with the technology of the future, in partnership with The History Channel, blinkx.tv is bringing the people and major events of past and present to life on the desktop for millions of blinkx users.

Adding The Biography Channel, www.thebiographychannel.co.uk, to blinkx’s growing list of channels makes programming dedicated to the stars of the past, present and future, from Jean Harlow, the first sex symbol of talking pictures to modern day icons Paris Hilton and Brad Pitt fully searchable on demand for the first time. The service is expected to be expanded shortly to include content from the History Channel, with clips spanning world events from the American Civil War to scams in Vegas, linking blinkx users straight to the most comprehensive, authoritative broadcaster of historical content.
