blinkx signs content agreement with VERSUS

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - October 23, 2006 - blinkx, the world’s largest video search engine, today announced an agreement with VERSUS, the network that celebrates competition in all its forms.  blinkx will index hundreds of hours of the network’s premier sporting footage and make it easily searchable from www.blinkx.com. 

VERSUS (VERSUS.com) is the national cable home of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Stanley Cup Playoffs as well as best-in-class events like The Tour de France, the America’s Cup, the Dakar Rally, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR), Professional Boxing, the Boston Marathon, AMA Motocross and Davis Cup. Under the terms of the agreement, blinkx will provide accurate, effortless search to all of the hundreds of hours of sports and outdoor videos on VERSUS.com.  VERSUS is the latest sports channel to be added to blinkx’s growing list of partners that already features content from Eurosport and Sportal.com.  blinkx users will now be able to find and link directly to all types of sporting events making blinkx the number one online destination for video search on the Web.
