blinkx Partners with Global Music Brand Ministry of Sound Adding Video Footage to Search Index

San Francisco, CALIF. - June 4, 2007 - blinkx plc (“blinkx”), the world’s largest video search engine, today announced a content partnership with Ministry of Sound TV (MoSTV), the first digital content provider for dance music entertainment. Under the terms of the agreement, blinkx will transcribe and index video content from Ministry of Sound TV (MoSTV), making it easy for users to find and watch at www.blinkx.com.

Ministry of Sound, a leading global entertainment company, has expanded its international franchise to include television programming and syndication. Ministry of Sound is not only a world renowned venue in London, but also a music and lifestyle brand that singlehandedly created the clubbing movement as we know it today.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Ministry of Sound and offer users access to music videos and footage from interviews and events,” said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO, blinkx. “A lot of people turn to the Web for their musical interests and we’re happy to expand our offering of music-related content.”

“With over 500 music videos, exclusive DJ interviews, and the only permanent film crew in Ibiza this season, we are the only source of dance music entertainment.” said Assia Grazioli-Venier, Head of Ministry of Sound TV.  “By partnering with blinkx we’re pleased to make it even easier for our loyal fan-base to find our videos online, while introducing our programming to an even larger global audience”.

As an in-house production team, MoSTV produces premium dance music content, while also aggregating affiliate branded content such as Hed Kandi’s ‘Kandi Vision’ and www.ilikemusic.com. Features include full and exclusive coverage of the upcoming Ibiza 2007 season, plus lifestyle and island guides.  Other content includes Music Videos, News & Charts, interviews with headlining DJs, Club & Festival coverage, and DJ lead programs such as ‘Clubbers Guide to…”.

As the pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the smartest way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 130 media partners and 12 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.
