blinkx CEO Suranga Chandratillake to Speak on Entrepreneurship and Video at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. – January 28, 2009 – blinkx, the world’s largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that Founder and CEO Suranga Chandratillake will be presenting on “Entrepreneurship and Video: The Future of Search” at an upcoming Tech@Tuck event at 12 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Each year, the Center for Digital Strategies at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College, plans a speaker series consisting of several tradeshows, seminars and panels that reflect current themes in technology, innovation and the Internet.

This year’s speaker series, underwritten by Glenn Britt, CEO of Time Warner Cable, Dartmouth and Tuck alumnus, will be targeted to an MBA audience and include participation ranging from executives, industry experts and faculty to gain insight into emerging trends impacting the media and entertainment industry.  Sessions will be anchored around the theme, “Video: Winning the battle for people, platforms and profits”.  Other speakers confirmed for 2009 include: Anne Sweeney, Co-chair, Disney Media Networks and President, Disney-ABC Television Group; Enrique Rodriguez, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft TV Division; James McQuivey, VP, Principal Analyst, Forrester Research; and Bob Zitter, Executive Vice President, Technology and Chief Technology Officer, Home Box Office, Inc.

A highly regarded expert on the convergence of the Web and TV, Mr. Chandratillake has more than a decade of experience in next-generation search and is well qualified to speak as both an entrepreneur and a thought leader in online video.
