blinkx Partners with CriticalPast to Offer Historic Video Clips

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF.—June 22, 2010—blinkx, the world’s largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced a partnership with CriticalPast,www.criticalpast.com, a global online resource for royalty-free, historic video footage. CriticalPast’s video library includes some of history’s most iconic moments from over 4,000 locations worldwide and dating from the 1890s to modern times. This collection of over 50,000 videos will now be available at www.blinkx.com. Leveraging its unique AdHoc platform, blinkx will also place advertising against these videos and share resulting revenue with CriticalPast.

CriticalPast is one of the world’s largest online archives of royalty-free historic video footage and photo images, serving history buffs and professional film producers worldwide. The CriticalPast collection spans thousands of hours of video, millions of still photos and continues to grow.
