AOL partners with blinkx
Video search engine blinkx will now power video searches done through AOL, as part of a new deal with the US internet portal.
AOL’s premium video content will also be listed in blinkx’s index of videos, which already includes more than 35 million hours of content.
US- and UK-based blinkx was founded in 2004, floated on the London Stock Exchange in May 2007 and claims to deal with more than 720 media partners, including national broadcasters. AOL bought out online news and blog network The Huffington Post for US$315m last February.
